The Animal Program at Glade Run Stables
 
Glade Run Stables is located on the main campus of Glade Run Lutheran Services in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. The program provides diverse opportunities for fun and learning in a safe, interactive environment. It is our goal for everyone who visits us to be able to come away from the barn with increased soundness of heart, mind, body, and spirit. We do this by combining experienced staff, a wide variety of services, and an assortment of people-friendly animals in a relaxed, country setting.
 
Our four staff have a combined 49 years of experience with equine, farm, and therapeutic activities. Our realm of experience ranges from Western and English pleasure, to dressage, gaming, and trail and horse-packing.
 
With such a variety of experience, we are able to offer a variety of activities; including riding lessons for both able-bodied and physically disabled riders, trail rides, summer day camp, field trips, buggy rides, and volunteer and service project opportunities. We pride ourselves on offering, and strive to meet your needs at our facility or yours.
 
Our barn houses a variety of critters carefully selected for their calm demeanors, and willing personalities. We have over 20 horses, 3 pygmy goats, and several cats. While Glade Run owns most of these animals, many of the horses are boarded by members of the community who share our vision of animals as part of a healthy lifestyle.
 
Our facility is housed on about 250 acres of Glade Run Lutheran Services’ main campus. The amenities include small animal pens, a barn with an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, 20+ acres of fenced pasture, and over 10 miles of scenic trails.
