Wraparound Services

available in all locations

Wraparound uses professional staff and natural supports to literally "wrap" services around identified children and their families. Services are provided in the family's home and community to prevent out-of-home placement.

Services also may be implemented upon a child's return home from a placement to strengthen relationships and problem-solving skills, as well as to prevent recidivism. Wraparound is a child-centered, strengths-based system, focusing on the child's and family's strengths as major tools.

Because each child's and family's situation is unique, an individually-tailored treatment plan is formulated to address the child's mental health needs. This plan is designed to use community resources creatively in order to maximize improvement to the child's function with minimal disruption to the family unit. The plan is developed, monitored and modified by the members of an interagency team: the referring agency, Glade Run Lutheran Services, teachers or vocational training counselors, therapists, psychologists, medical and legal advisors, and, most importantly, the child and family.

Outpatient Counseling

Available services include individual, family and group therapy. Flexible funding permits access to services via a variety of payers: Medical Assistance, employment assistance programs, some commercial insurance, and self-pay.

Psychological and psychiatric services are also available as needed at the various sites.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

available in Butler County

Dialectics are about holding in balance things like negative or racing thoughts, conflicts in relationships, overwhelming emotions, impulsive behaviors, and dealing with changes.These things can sometimes seem to be contradictory, mismatched, in direct competition with each other or in conflict with each other.

The goal of Dialectical Behavior Therapy is to accept the way things are right now while making progress toward developing new skills to succeed over a lifetime, and to ultimately improve one's quality of life. This group teaches skills in four areas:

Blended Case Management

Available in Beaver and Butler Counties

Blended Case Management provides case management services to adults and children who suffer from a serious mental illness or emotional disturbance. An assigned case manager works with the consumer and families to access, link, coordinate and monitor needed services as well as provide support and advocacy. The primary goal of these services is to maintain the consumer in the least restrictive and most normal setting possible while insuring the consumer remains linked to the necessary services.

Family Focused Services

Family Based Mental Health Services

available in Beaver and Butler Counties

This program provides in-home, intensive, team-delivered services for children and adolescents less than 21 years of age. This service assists the family in developing a supportive and caring home environment. Family based is offered in rapid response by Glade Run initiating services within 24 hours of acceptance into the program; access to this service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A two-person team provides family based services with emphasis on therapeutic flexibility and the strengths of the individual family members.

Family Focused Solution Based Services

available in Butler County

This program is a team delivered in-home, therapeutic service that engages individuals, their families, and other community members who care. It produces an individualized, family-focused, child-centered service plan that meets the behavioral health needs of the child and assists family members with supporting the diagnosed mental health disorder.

Services occur in the family’s home and community to support the child’s success in the community. Child welfare or juvenile justice entities are also cooperatively involved to identify any unmet family support need in order to improve the overall stability of the home environment, as well as prevent a future out-of –home placement for the child.

Family Preservation Services

available in Butler County

The family preservation program works with families and their children who are, or could possibly become victims of neglect or abuse. To prevent out-of-home placement for these children, this program utilizes intensive in-home counseling and supporting services to link families with appropriate community resources.

Family Reunification Services

available in Butler County

The family reunification program prepares families who are anticipating the return of their child from an out-of-home placement. The program strives to enable the successful return of the child and prevent future out-of-home placements.

Family reunification typically begins up to thirty days prior to the date of the anticipated return home, and continues up to ninety days after the reunification. Services occur in the family’s home and community to support the child’s success in the community.
