Applications, Clearances & Background Checks

Glade Run understands that the amount of paperwork that a volunteer needs to complete prior to volunteering can be overwhelming and we would like you to understand the importance of this process.  Glade Run is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and accredited by The Joint Commission.  These entities dictate the amount of information that needs to be maintained on volunteers prior to having direct contact with the clients in our care.

Although the amount of information can be overwhelming, please understand that it is necessary.  Once you have been interviewed by the Volunteer Coordinator, completed an application and all necessary paperwork, and the references you have listed in your application have been checked, you will then be presented with a job description based upon your level of involvement.  This job description may ask you to provide and submit further information.
