Superintendent E. Stewart Proper admires the plaque, dated 1908, given “In Loving Memory of Eliza Walter Passavant and William Alfred Passavant” by their children. It states “Our debt to Dr. Passavant is being paid as we carry forward this great work which he began in faith and prayer.” This plaque can still be admired today on the bell tower. In those days, the bell tower was used to call the children in from the fields for meals. Circa 1942 – 1946.
