FAQs for Parents

What do kids do here?

The kids get up between 6:30 and 7:00am every weekday and a little later on weekends.  They then get ready for the day by getting dressed, washing their face and brushing their teeth.  The kids then go to the dining hall for breakfast and participate in their Daily Preparedness Group.

Depending on the time of year, your child will then either go to school or participate in the RTF summer program for the majority of the morning and afternoon.  Your child will then be able to participate in the daily Psycho-education Group.

In the afternoon, your child will either have some free time or will participate in a planned activity.  After dinner in the dining hall, a therapeutic activity group is offered as well as some quiet time to do homework, read or make telephone calls.

Before bedtime, the children are provided with the opportunity to discuss their day either individually or in a group.  This will assist the children in processing the events of their day.  The children then get ready for bed.
